Content is King.
You’ve heard it. You’ve rolled your eyes at it. You continue to hear it. You’ll continue to hear it.
You’re probably also beginning to hear that Video Content is HUGE for content optimization for search engines. Google Loves Video.
I’m working with Brad Geoghagan with Divine Crosses right now. We’re making some major improvement to content on his site and both of us have already observed content pages ranking higher since making a few minor strategy shifts on his site. I’ve also been pushing Brad to personalize his site more, which I think from a usability standpoint will be very effective.
One of the ways to personalize his site and products more is to shoot video of himself talking about the products he sells. Check out this quick video that he shot. It was great as it was, but I took it into imovie and made a few small edits. From the video, I was able to improve the overall look of his Vineyard Wooden Cross product page.
Let this be your challenge heading into a new month. Let’s get one video added to your website. Let it be a genuine but generic “About Us” video or it can be a specific video like Brad did about a specific product.
Come May 1st, let’s make sure content was added to your website. Hopefully make it rich media content in the form of a video.
